We’ve seen so many TV shows based around infamous games, think The Witcher, Netflix’s Cyberpunk Anime, and even the The Last of Us series. This got us thinking – what other great games would make fantastic TV shows?
Elden Ring
Elden Ring quickly became one of the most popular games of 2022 and even won Game of the Year. With plenty of fast-paced action, rich backstories and lore, along with multiple different characters and arcs, we think it would make one mighty TV show. Whether you enjoyed playing as Samurai, Wretch, or Vagabond, you can see your favourite characters and their in-depth backstories as they explore the Lands Between on the big screen. The journey to becoming victorious is full of gut-wrenching action, terrifying boss fights, and enough drama to make your stomach flip.
Plus, the world and story were both written by George R.R.Martin, and we all know how successful House of the Dragon and Game of Thrones have been. (Let’s just not talk about that final season…) What more could you want in a television show?

Portal
Everyone’s favourite puzzle game, Portal, features all of the ingredients that could make a great TV show. Whilst we can’t decide if we’d prefer the show to be based on Portal or Portal 2, we can all agree that it could be a great mix of light-hearted comedy and nail-biting drama.
We can all grip to the base of our seats as we watch Chell utilise the trusty Portal gun to solve the series of overly complex puzzles created by the deadly AI, GLaDOS. What’s more, whilst GLaDOS fails to keep her twisted promise of cake, we can enjoy reliving the iconic moments from the Portal franchise with a slice of our favourite cake instead!
Plus, Stephen Merchant can even reprise his role as Wheatley. Need I say more?
You can enjoy re-living all your favourite moments from the first Portal, but now with enhanced graphics and Real-Time Ray Tracing support. Check out our blog article for more details and the official PC system specifications.
Dead Space
The recent Dead Space remake has got us thinking about a potential future TV show.
Dead Space contains everything we would need in a brand-new horror show, which is sure to result in some sleepless nights. We can watch in fear as Isaac, isolated on a mining vessel on Mars, soon discovers the ship has been overrun by hordes of terrifying Necromorphes. His fellow crew members and even his wife are possessed with this deadly horror. Maybe we shouldn’t watch this one after dark…
Dishonored
Dishonored is another of our favourite games that would make an incredible action-adventure TV show. Set in the fictional plague-ridden industrial city of Dunwall, the Dishonored game follows a typical revenge story but with a magical twist.
After being framed for the murder of the Empress of the Isles, Corvo, now turned assassin, is seeking vengeance on those who conspired against him. We can watch in anticipation as Corvo gets closer to achieving revenge after The Outsider grants him magical abilities that sure do prove advantageous during those intense fight scenes.
The Sims
Whilst The Sims may seem like an unlikely choice for a television show, just hear me out first… A ‘Keeping-up-with-the Karadashians’- esque show all about the highs, lows, and sudden disappearances of Bella Goth. Bella Goth is everyone’s favourite classy Sim dressed in her iconic red dress who loves to flirt with her fellow neighbours and cause her husband nothing but stress. (Yes, I am using Sims 2 as my inspiration, that is the best one and you cannot tell me otherwise…)
Viewers can sit back and enjoy the dramatic twists and turns as Bella Goth begins yet another secret love with the likes of Don Lothario, well until she gets abducted by aliens and abandoned in Strangetown with no memories of her husband or family. Sounds like great reality TV to me!
